From Coast to Coast, The Sound of Now!

My friend Amy from Portland painted this for me.

Here's Steve in his natural habitat
Steven Robert Murray slid through on his vacation. The desert had become familiar and the campers were all very well acquainted by this point. At times it was reminiscent of an episode of coronation street. Ive never seen coronation street, but thats what Steve told me. The bbq was hot and the beer was cold. It sure does get crazy down there. One night the tide was rising and large swells were threatening to douse our campfire. The party took turns building a dam, and digging a trench to divert the incoming seas. In the end we succeeded, but more than likely everyone was in bed before the 7:30pm high tide anyways.

Cori and I headed north to a nice right hand point break on the Pacific side. Tuberides, noserides and easily some of the best surf we've seen. You can only surf so many kilometres in a day.

Gulfy Gulfy

Forget about all that surf junk. We drove back to the Gulf where the largest waves we saw were from a fibreglass panga. It was quiet, sunny and hot. For the next few days we traded in our surf gear for snorkel gear and caught rides on the back of 3 whale sharks that were chowing down in the bay.

Here's Cori paddling with a monster

We headed back up to the Ensenada Area and hit the town hard.

Hopefully Whale Shark isn't on the feature menu

Ode to the arroyo dump

Early in the morning
Sun low in the sky
Rumble in your stomach
Sand in your eyes

Grab the shovel
Take a hike
Now I wish
Id brought a bike

Find a spot
Pop a squat
Start a fire
Bury the lot
