Summer 2014 was pretty much what you would expect. Maybe a little better.

I found a coconut |
In this episode Cori and I go up to Robson Bight to paddle our kayaks and hopefully see an orca or two.
Well, we didnt see any orcas, there were hundreds of gillnetters up and down Johnstone Strait and we think the orcas were scared off. The camping was great though, and the water was beautifully glassy and frigid. We did see some Pacific White-sided Dolphins which look like mini-orcas.

Apart from that I had to fill my quota of time on the Mid-West coast. Everything that you would expect happened. I had visitors, we had fires, the van broke down, we caught fish, waves and sunsets. Joey and Mary moved to Ucluelet for the summer. Joey as a lawyer and Mary as a pro whale watcher. We surfed and feasted together for many moons until their return to the east coast.

All in all it was a pretty nice summer. The weather was as good as it gets and the company was even better. Thanks for tuning in and check back because I have a lot more cool stuff coming up.
